As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve, The Chartered Society of Physiotherapists is keen to reassure patients that Physiotherapy services remain open no matter what level of restrictions a local area is subject to.
It is our priority to ensure that we are maintinaing safe practice and adhering to guidance from both the government and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
We are continuing to offer therapy via video calls for those clients whose needs can be met in this way, or who are deemed to be particularly vulnerable.
We are also offering face to face therapy. Prior to any initial face to face contact we complete a thorough risk assessment. This involves a phone call to discuss COVID 19 symptoms, confirm that neither we, nor the client is experiencing symptoms and to ascertain level of risk. We then recheck this risk assessment prior to every contact.
We wear PPE when carrying out face to face contact. This includes a visor or goggles, face mask, apron and gloves. We wash our hands and sanitise before and after every client.
If you have any questions about how we are maintaining safety during this challenging time, please do not hesitate to contact us.
